Business shower was a meet-up like no other

Hello Hello Hello!
I am back with one new experience to share with you all. No this is not about food or travel but something that even I heard for the Ist time. It was a “business shower“ event. Oh yes, you heard it right – A Business Shower. Let me tell you, how it all happened.

So, I got a call from Pallavi a few days before.

Pallavi: Heena are you free on 18th May? I would like to invite you as a speaker for the event.
Me: What event?
Pallavi: It’s a business shower.
Me: Excuse me what?
Pallavi: Ok, so like there is a baby shower to welcome new baby, there is a business shower to welcome new business.
Me: Sounds interesting. I would love to be a part of it.

Theme of the event:

So, there was a Business Shower for the launch of startup GetWork. The audience included young entrepreneurs, early-stage startups/businesses, freelancers, influencers, Speakers, CXOs of few companies and investors. The aim was to show support to new businesses and help them with the resources “Business Shower” team can get for them in the form of mentorship, learning, life lessons, connections, monetary or just even connecting them with the right people.
It was not just about the launch, there were speakers (including me) from different industries.

Speakers Details:

1. Heena Raheja aka me
“”” One of the first women entrepreneurs to found a highly engaging traveler’s community under the name Travel Affairs and she made it to be the TED X speaker not just once, but twice. “”” as described by team business shower.

My topic of discussion was – “My Entrepreneurial Journey to building Travel Affairs with Zero Investment”

2. Himanshu Wadia
With over 14 years of experience managing IT businesses spanning from sectors such as Medical Devices, Banks, Telecom, Travel & Transportation, he is now leading Digital Operations at one of the largest telecommunication organizations.

Himanshu spoke on “A seamless future with artificial intelligence and IoT, lead by big businesses” 

3. Gurpreet Singh Tikku aka GST aka Mister Tikku
2 times TedX Speaker, he is one of the most influential Social Media Influencer and Food Blogger out there, Tikku Ji has worked with brands like AirAsia, Swiggy, Dineout, GoDaddy, Mother Dairy, OYO, Jagaran, Asian Paints, Barbeque Nation and a lot more.

He spoke on “How Social Media Influencers are changing the game in Marketing?” & “How did I build a personalized Digital Brand?”

4. C.S. Chaudhary
A leading educationist began with 7 students to 700 students now at self-established Uttam Public School. He is now a leading educationist as well as a great influencer in multiple spheres. Holds good interest in Public dealing and is a brand in education. From being an average student in the class to an outstanding inspiration today, here is a man with his entrepreneurial journey.
“22 Years of sheer dedication & perseverance, that’s what it took to realize a dream.” 

As shared before, the event was the launch event of GetWork. It was organized at Cowrks, Aerocity, Delhi with a total gathering of approx 25 people. It definitely was a great networking opportunity and got to know about other startups. The most interesting of all was – Picture time. They have mobile cinemas. Like, they set up a temporary place for a movie screening at the places where there are no cinema halls. Ticket price ranges from Rs. 30 – 70. You got to check them to know more about them.
