FAQ

1) Is this a “Traditional-Old-School types” group tour?

Not at all !
We, and our co-backpackers are not typical group travellers. We understand the line between a tourist & a traveller and our trips allow you to step off your comfort zone and experience the local culture, from exploring the busy marketplaces to the hidden gems.

2) Are the trips safe for women?

Safety is our paramount concern and we have taken adequate steps to ensure the same. We always create a friendly environment on our trips.
All our organisers, hosts, & co-hosts and community members are very honest and reliable. Feel free to visit our Facebook page for reviews and contact any of our ex-women travellers to ask for their experience.

3) What is the mode of commuting to the destination of travel?

The mode of commuting differs from location to location. For most of our destinations we book a private AC Deluxe Bus. We believe, journey is also a very important part, far more than just reaching from point A to B. Necessary comfort is taken care of during commutation.

4) How does the accommodation looks like ?

It differs from location to location. It can be camps, tents, hostels & hotels. Rooms are allocated generally on triple or quad sharing. On special requests and depending upon the availability, arrangements can be made for twin sharing also.

5) Will there be any free time for me to explore on my own?

We keep our itinerary in such a way that most of the places get covered. But if there is a scope and time allows, travellers are free to explore the local areas.

6) Can I join trip late or leave it early and come by my own vehicle?

Generally we do not encourage this. We want our trip members to join us from the beginning and leave at the end of trip. But in special cases, we can consider that however you will be responsible for your own arrangements & all costs from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You need to inform us in advance.

7) What are the age restrictions on your tours?

As long as you are ready to explore yourself & the nature and a person with “ready-to-do-anything” attitude, we don’t hesitate to take you along.
As we believe, age is just a number, however, to travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit for most of our tours.

8) What are the general inclusions in the trip cost?

Our trip package is generally “All inclusive”. Say, accommodation, food, transport, guide charges, permits etc.
However, any expense of personal nature, like laundry, telephone bills, beverages etc. is not included.

9) I am coming solo, and barely know anyone.

We understand that it’s not always possible that your travel plan will work out every time you make it with your friends. And that’s where the “Solo travelling, with a group of strangers” fits in. This is one of the most asked question and nothing satisfies us more when we see the person coming solo and going back with almost 25 new friends. We call it – “Hey’s” turning to “See you soon” . So yes, coming solo is a chance you need to take and you won’t regret it.

10) Do you guys (organisers) also travel with the group and what is the group leader like?

Yes, we love to travel as much as you do.
The aim of travelling with the group is to ensure all the arrangements are up-to the mark and help you have the best trip possible. You can expect your leader to have a general knowledge of the places to be visited on the trip.

11) Who are going to be my travel companions?

People you are travelling with matters the most during the trip and we take necessary steps to filter the crowd. For privacy reasons, we cannot provide you with advance details on your travelling companions. However, our trips appeal to a wide range of travellers.
Typically, our groups are a mix of single travellers, friends and couples, all coming from various professional backgrounds; from fitness trainers to doctors, media people to CA’s, Air-force guys to HR’s etc. Your fellow travellers will probably come from all corners of India.

12) How many people can join a tour?

Generally our group size vary from 12 to 40. Bookings are made on first come first serve basis.

13) What are the most important things to carry?

– An Open Mind
– “Ready to-do-anything” Attitude
– Be Flexible
– And for rest of the items, we include the details in itinerary and keep on informing through WhatsApp or e-mail.

14) What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?

A backpack is recommended, as suitcases can be cumbersome at times. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off trains/ buses and up and down hostel/ hotels staircases. Though some travellers do prefer suitcases (including us) and that is also completely fine. Also, we suggest you to carry as light as possible.
